About us

Uplifting Pediatric Therapy, LLC was founded by Leah Jones, MS, OTR in 2019. Leah began working as an Occupational Therapist in 2014 after receiving her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University. Leah has worked with children in a variety of settings, including outpatient, inpatient, early intervention, and school systems. She has a passion for working with children and has dedicated her career to working not only with special needs children, but with their entire family units.

Leah is the mother to four amazing children and a foster mother to other children in need. She has a special interest in working with children who have experienced trauma and utilizes a trauma informed care approach in her therapy.

why us?

I have had so many amazing experiences over the last 9 years working in outpatient, inpatient, early intervention, and school systems, but I was growing tired of the ever increasing push to ‘do more with less’ in the medical world. I wanted the quality of my therapy to be valued over the quantity of units I bill, and what better way to make sure my top priorities remain at the top than branching out on my own? I am able to travel to my patients’ homes to provide therapy in their home setting. There are so many benefits to evaluating and treating children in their homes. I love seeing how the entire family interacts and being able to include family members in my treatment sessions. I have found that working in this setting and including family results in larger and faster gains for the child!

Additionally, having my own practice allows me to provide high quality Occupational Therapy services, while also being affordable and avoiding passing on over-inflated therapy prices that are often seen in medical settings. I hold and maintain a national certification and Indiana state licensure to practice Occupational Therapy and adhere to the highest ethical standards. Having my own practice allows me to customize treatment plans, length of sessions, and scheduling to meet your family’s specific needs.

Where do we provide services?

Uplifting Pediatric Therapy is a mobile therapy practice. What does that mean? It means we come to you! We can provide services in the home, daycare, school or community!

We currently serve New Palestine, IN and surrounding areas.
