When my daughter, Harper, was a year and a half old she was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. I was relieved to finally have some answers, but also terrified because I had no idea what to do from there. As a parent there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your child struggle and not know what you can do to help. She used to bite, scream, throw, but most importantly she was struggling. Simple tasks pr trips to you and I were draining for Harper. I remember the day I met Leah I knew she was the right fit for us. Harper wasn't being cooperative for our evaluation so we tried it without me in the room and I could hear that it wasn't much better. I've never met a more calming person than Leah. Here I was screaming child in tow and I just remembered feeling relieved that we were going to figure it out together. She taught me tools and routines we could incorporate in Harper's daily life. She was so helpful and dedicated. When Harper was four she was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and we were still lucky enough to be with Leah. Truly Leah changed our lives. She is an angel and will always be so special to our family. The amount of patience, perseverance and effort she put into helping not only Harper, but me as well is unmatched by anyone we've ever dealt with.
